A Who’s Who of Australia’s actors are competing to pay $15 million for a grand Bellevue Hill mansion.
Russell Crowe took a private tour last week of the six-bedroom, 4000sq m Victoria Rd estate, Le Manoir, billed as the ultimate privacy-preserving celebrity retreat.
Crowe inspected the property with wife Danielle Spencer and an entourage that included friend and real estate agent John McGrath.
Nicole Kidman is also believed to be in the market, after selling her Darling Point home for $12 million.
Le Manoir sits in a secure compound, surrounded by 3m fences, and is entered only through a solid, steel, retractable electric gate at the end of a long driveway.
Listing agent Michael Pallier, of Raine and Horne Double Bay, refused to comment on who had viewed the Georgian property, but said it would definitely appeal to a security-conscious family.
‘It’s one of the most secure compounds in the area and is a French-style home in the middle of Sydney’s eastern suburbs,’ he said.
Celebrity buyer agent Janne Sutcliffe – who has acted for Kidman, Hugh Jackman, Collette Dinnigan and Toni Collette – confirmed that she inspected the home last week.
Collette sold her Bellevue Hill Home two weeks ago for $6.4 million, while Kidman is due in Sydney this month.
